PCHF Kid Takeover

WA rallies behind #PCHFKidTakeover.

Did you get involved in the #PCHFKidTakeover this year?

We were absolutely blown away with the WA community’s support of this year’s #PCHFKidTakeover, as local personalities, influencers and corporate supporters got involved by letting the kids run the show.

From Pete & Kymba through to Euroz Hartleys and Football West to PwC Perth, Clough and JWH Group, so many of our incredible donors and supporters lent their voice to help us amplify our message.

At the heart were PCHF’s Ambassador Kids – they took over the airwaves at Mix94.5 to launch their very own radio ads, they lit up social media, bossed around parents and corporates, gave West Coast Fever players a tour of the hospital, and even took charge of training drills at Perth Scorchers HQ.

Thanks to this support, we had a very successful second year running the #PCHFKidTakeover, which aims to shine a spotlight on the Foundation’s unique position funding game-changing children’s healthcare here in WA.

Being based at the hospital, the team at PCHF gets to see things from the kids’ perspective every day – having this view helps us to direct funding and resources to where it’s needed most – and through this campaign, we wanted everyone else to see it too.

The Kid Takeover also featured memorable moments such as prominent PCH oncology clinician Dr Nick Gottardo being showcased on the back of Perth buses. A creative shot taken from a child’s perspective gave commuters a cheeky peek (right up his nose!) into daily life at PCH.

The best part, however, was all about the magic in seeing the world through a child’s eyes – full of wonder, courage, and limitless potential.

PCHF Kid Takeover

With ongoing community support, PCHF is looking forward to bringing back the Kid Takeover again next year, to help raise awareness and funds so that every kid can receive world-class healthcare, right here at home in WA, so they can get well and stay well. With kids like these leading the charge, the future of children’s healthcare looks brighter than ever!
