The Foundation on the frontline

Get closer to the frontline.

Volunteers play a vital role in our achievements here at Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation. Your time is one of the most valuable gifts you can give to help sick kids in WA get well and stay well.

Joining the Foundation as a volunteer helps us raise vital funds for ground-breaking research, innovative equipment and technology, world class expertise and positive patient experiences. Beyond this, it’s a great way to meet new friends, experience new things, get work experience within a charity organisation and get involved with a cause that has touched many WA families.

No matter what your skillset, we will find valuable work for you to do for the Foundation, and support you while you do it. From event support to working in our Gift Shop or office, or dressing up as Stitches, there is valuable work all around—and we need you to help us get it done.

Join us, in the most personal way possible: volunteer today.

Frequently asked questions.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with events, donation tin drop-offs and pick-ups, merchandise sales, community stalls, and Hospital volunteering.

Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form (above in pink) to officially register.

You will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator to chat and be notified of any upcoming opportunities.

As many of our volunteering opportunities are events-based, you do not need to apply for a Working with Children Check (WWCC) unless specified. However, all of our interns and Stitches volunteers will need to apply for a WWCC. We will be happy to guide you through the process.

As a lot of our volunteers are students, we understand the importance of recognising the number of hours invested in volunteering for portfolio purposes. A statement confirming hours and volunteering duties can be provided upon request.

This will depend on the type of event you wish to get involved in. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.

From time to time, we may accept volunteers under the age of 18 for event volunteer roles. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator if you would like further information.

As we do not have regular office-based volunteering opportunities, we cannot take work experience students on board. However, if you are between 16 and 18 and have an adult supervisor who is willing to volunteer with you, we would love to have you join us at our events. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator for more information by email at volunteering@pchf.org.au
