PCHF & Port to Pub: A shore thing.

PCHF & Port to Pub: A shore thing.

We’re thrilled to share that Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation (PCHF) is returning as the official charity partner of the iconic Port to Pub open water swim for another three years.

This iconic WA event sees almost 1,700 swimmers take on the ultradistance challenge from Leighton Beach to Wadjemup / Rottnest Island, helping to raise vital funds for WA’s sick kids.

Over the past three years, the partnership has raised more than $130,000 for Move to Improve – a groundbreaking research initiative at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) that helps kids living with long-term health conditions to reconnect with physical activity.

As the event prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, Port to Pub has unveiled a new Naming Rights Sponsor, Mader Group, a leading global provider of specialist maintenance solutions across the mining, energy, and industrial sectors. The freshly titled 2026 race will be known as the Mader Port to Pub with Hotel Rottnest.

Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation CEO Carrick Robinson said: “We are proud to return as Port to Pub’s charity partner for the fourth year running, and warmly welcome Mader Group as they join us in this incredible event.

“A highlight on our state’s sporting calendar, it’s always inspiring to see Port to Pub competitors take on this iconic challenge in support of WA’s sick kids. As we head into 2026, our goal is to build on the momentum of past events and make an even greater impact – helping more WA kids to get well and stay well.

The Mader Port to Pub with Hotel Rottnest will celebrate its 10th year including two new options for its 19.7km course with the addition of Teams of 3 and a limited Teams of 10 category joining the line-up.

Executive Director and CEO of Mader Justin Nuich is proud to become name sponsor of an event close to his heart.

He says, “Having taken part in the swim myself, I understand just how special it is to cross that finish line knowing you’ve contributed to something bigger. It’s a privilege to support the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, and we’re honoured to play a role in making a difference in the lives of WA kids and their families.”

Port to Pub Co-Founder and Managing Director Ceinwen Roberts added: “We couldn’t be happier to join up with Mader Group, a prominent Western Australia company that provides exceptional services while being incredible people. They share our enthusiasm in creating a one-of-a kind experience in Port to Pub and maintaining its reputation as a welcoming, well-run, and beautiful event on the global open water swim calendar.”

Other long-standing Port to Pub sponsors, including previous 2022-2025 Naming Rights Sponsor Euroz Hartleys, are returning as supporting sponsors.
