Commission for a Cause raises $80k for PCHF Pump Program.
Euroz Hartleys has again delivered a powerful day of giving, with its annual Commission for a Cause event raising more than $240,000 for three WA charities, including over $80,000 for Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation (PCHF).
Now in its eighth year, the initiative saw Euroz Hartleys donate 100% of brokerage generated on Friday 26 June, with trading volumes climbing above the daily average as clients rallied behind the cause.

PCHF is proud to be one of this year’s beneficiaries alongside A Stitch in Time and Breast Cancer Care WA. The Foundation was represented on the day by CEO Carrick Robinson, joined by Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) Paediatric Endocrinologist Dr Craig Taplin, PCHF Ambassador and Olympic boxer Yusuf Chothia and mascot, Stitches.Â
Supporting WA kids living with Type 1 diabetes.
Funds raised through Commission for a Cause will support the PCHF Pump Program, providing life-changing insulin pumps to children and adolescents living with Type 1 diabetes across WA.
For families, access to an insulin pump can be transformative, with the devices automating insulin delivery and responding in real time to changing glucose levels, improving both daily management and long-term health outcomes.
International guidelines now recognise this technology as the gold standard of care – yet the cost means many families still go without. Through the Pump Program, PCHF is working to close that gap.
Over the past two years, more than $800,000 in funding has enabled over 100 pumps to be provided to children across WA, with a focus on families facing financial hardship, those living in regional and remote communities, and those navigating complex circumstances.
At PCH, the Diabetes Service supports around 1,250 young people living with Type 1 diabetes, with approximately 170 new diagnoses each year.
PCHF CEO Carrick Robinson said the program exists to ensure every WA child has access to the best possible care, regardless of their family’s financial situation.Â
“Insulin pump therapy provides best-practice management for children with Type 1 diabetes, helping to alleviate uncertainty and stress for kids and their families,” he said. “No family should miss out because of that cost.”
A milestone year of giving back
This year’s event also marks a significant milestone, with the Euroz Hartleys Foundation celebrating 20 years of community investment. Since 2006, the Foundation has contributed close to $4.5 million to over 100 WA charities, with Commission for a Cause raising over $2 million since launching in 2019.
The impact of Commission for a Cause extends well beyond this year’s event. In 2023, funds raised for PCHF helped deliver advanced electromagnetic (EM) navigation technology at PCH, a system providing real-time guidance during complex neurosurgeries for infants and young children.
Used in procedures such as tumour removal, shunt insertion and epilepsy surgery, the technology improves surgical precision and helps reduce complications and repeat operations. For some of PCH’s smallest and most vulnerable patients, it has already proven life changing.
“Giving back to our community is part of our culture and we are proud it will make a significant difference to these outstanding WA charities,” said Andrew McKenzie, Executive Chairman, Euroz Hartleys.
