QV1 Descent 2018

What is the QV1 Descent?

Urban Descent is a leading provider of adventure fundraising events across Australia including abseiling from city skyscrapers, zip lining across stadium fields from light towers, and swinging from iconic bridges.

The QV1 Descent is a thrilling and exciting adventure where you will abseil down the iconic QV1 building on St Georges Terrace, Perth CBD. At 40 storeys high and a 160m descent, you will defy gravity all while raising funds for the sick kids at PMH and Perth Children’s Hospital.

When is the QV1 Descent?

The QV1 Descent will take place on Saturday 21st April, 2018

Is there a minimum age to participate?

The minimum age requirement is 16 years.

How much does it cost to participate?

The QV1 Descent costs $200 per participant and includes an abseil training session.

What If I’ve never done an abseil before?

Abseiling is not difficult technically although emotionally it can be. Not only will you be provided with all the necessary safety equipment along with a team of professionals on the day of your abseil, but you will attend a training session prior to the big day! Your training day is included in the cost of your registration fee.

What if I get to the top and am too scared, or get stuck half way down or decide I no longer wish to continue?

Your participation is voluntary but you will be performing your abseil in a supportive environment with friendly trained instructors. These instructors can abseil with you to make you feel more comfortable and at ease and they can also come and meet you during your abseil should you get stuck or need that motivation to continue.

What are my fundraising commitments?

All participants must fundraise a minimum of $750 prior to and in order to participate in the event. Individuals from teams may raise less than $750 however, your team’s total funds raised must collectively be at least $750 per person in order to participate in the event.

How do we fundraise for the event?

The opportunities are endless! Upon registration, we can help guide you every step of the way and provide you with lots of fundraising tips to help you reach and exceed the $750 goal!
