Imagine your fear as your family is involved in a terrible car accident and your children are rushed to PMH,…
PMH Foundation’s dedicated partner Steggles continues to make our fundraising events and family activities at Princess Margaret Hospital a brilliant success.
We would like to thank Steggles for their amazing support of Princess Margaret Hospital through their contribution to the Stitches’ Free Family BBQs and other projects at PMH Foundation.
The Stitches’ Family BBQs at Princess Margaret Hospital, held in the Megazone, feed around 200 very grateful children, family members and staff each time they are run.
Steggles have generously provided food, drinks and utensils for over 26 of our Stitches’ Family BBQs, as well as supporting special BBQs for Carer’s Day at the hospital, the John Hughes Big Walk and the Radio West ‘Give me 5 for Kids Campaign’.
The staff at Steggles have enthusiastically volunteered over 1050 hours of their time to help host the BBQs and put a smile on children’s faces. It is always a pleasure to see the Steggles team at our Stitches’ Family BBQs and the patients, families and staff love seeing them too! The quality chicken donated by the company at these numerous events totalled just over $16 000.
Steggles has also generously contributed to Princess Margaret Hospital in many other ways including sponsoring a Senior Social Worker at the hospital to run the very successful Volunteer Ward Respite Program.
The Program is an innovative service for long-stay inpatients and their caregivers. Trained volunteers are paired with these children and provide social and emotional support for up to nine hours per week.
Steggles have also assisted in hospital care through a research grant to develop a rehabilitation model that will prepare children with an acquired brain injury (ABI) for participation in community recreation and leisure activities.
Thank you very much to everyone at Steggles for your incredibly enthusiastic and generous support of Princess Margaret Hospital! We love Steggles!
